My book review for Nervous Conditions

Dear Friends,

My book review for Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga is now available at the African Book Review!

Find it here: Coming of Age in Zimbabwe

This is such a wonderful book on so many levels. Read it and share with others! Let’s start a movement and get more people reading African literature the world over! 🙂

Much love,

Viola ❤

  1. Thank you for this very good review. I loved reading ‘Nervous Conditions’, and you did a very good job reviewing it. I love the way you wrote it, starting by ‘I am Tambu’, I am… Tambu’s cousin, I am Tambu’s aunt, and … I am all these women. Very good!
Just a slight correction to your post, it is Tsitsi Dangarembga, not Dangarembge

    • Thank you so much! I have corrected the typo–it was a long day yesterday and I must have been a little tired when I made that error 🙂 …thank you. It has been very good to read and re-read Nervous Conditions. I appreciate it more each time. Thanks so much for your feedback. I will be doing a few more book reviews this year, focusing on African fiction, which is a great balance to my passion for poetry. African literature is very beautiful!
